Pumpkin spice?

I’m not a big pumpkin fan. I like looking at them. I like the little gourds that look like pumpkins. My dog really likes fresh pumpkin with his breakfast. But the pumpkin spice trend..not so much.

There are other spices you can start incorporating in your diet now that the weather is shifting.

Cinnamon. It can be stirred into coffee or tea. Sprinkled on yogurt. Added to protein smoothies. I sprinkle it on peanut butter when I have a peanut butter sandwich.

Cloves. A little stronger than cinnamon. But can also be used in the same way. Can be added to cookie batter, too.

Nutmeg. Use it in baking if you bake.

There’s something about these spices that says “fall.” They smell like cooling temperatures and sweaters. And crunchy leaves. No need for pumpkin at all!
