How do you relax?

Do you go for a walk outside? Play with your pet? Do you read? Take a nap?

What you do to decompress can make a big difference in your life. It can encourage inaction (napping, sitting watching TV), or encourage activity (going for a walk, placing with a pet). It can be used to learn a new thing or to gain insight (reading).

Sometimes, you need a nap. Inaction isn’t always a bad thing. But if you’re doing too much of that, you can be using that time in a better way. To clean something, organize something. Learn something. Get in touch with someone you haven’t talked to in a while (as long as they don’t bring on more stress).

And maybe it’s time to introduce a new way of relaxing. Meditating, praying. Doing something in silence. It never hurts to have more tools in your toolbox.
