Tarot Card Reading of the Week – April 22, 2019

The card in the past position is the Seven of Pentacles reversed.  No planning, no direction. No long term planning, more specifically. Or just not really caring how seeds you planted are going to grow.  Or what will become of them.  Pentacles generally refer to money or material goods, but they don’t have to.  If this is related to money, it can be you investing money and either nothing is happening with it, there’s no gain or there’s even a significant loss. So you’ve just given up on what will come of your investment in the future.

The card in the present position is the Queen of Wands upright. She can be a fire sign female – Aries, Leo or Sagittarius. But she doesn’t have to be. She gets things done. She’s full of energy and very dynamic.  She’s not passive and not one to just wait around for things to happen. She makes them happen. So if this isn’t an actual woman around you (or you yourself) it an be an energy around you. Wanting to get something done or started and actually making it happen.

The future card is Justice upright.  A major arcana card. It can correspond to the astrological sign of Libra. But it’s also a card of…justice. It’s about fairness and equality and making something right.  It can speak to an actual court case or litigation, but it doesn’t have to. Any area or dynamic within your life where fairness or justice has seemed lacking…things will soon be made right and fair.

Oracle Card of the Month – April 2019

The card that jumped out during shuffling is Never-Ending Story. The card that presented is Unfinished Symphony. Both of those cards share a similar theme – something isn’t done yet. It’s not completed. There’s still work to be done or still a lesson to be learned.

Or, put another way, the concept of divine timing is at play here.  So it’s not the right time for something to happen. Or be done. Or take place. Which is hard for us to understand sometimes.   We want things when we want them, how we want them, and we want them now.  But that’s not always in our best interest, even if we can’t see it at the time.

So be patient and accept that you are exactly where you’re supposed to be. And that the universe is guiding you along in perfect, divine timing.

Tarot Card Reading of the Week – April 7, 2019

The card in  the past is the Knight of Swords upright. Knights are about action and movement. And the suit of swords is about our mind, our thoughts, and communication. This suit also corresponds to the air sign people – Libra, Gemini, Aquarius.  So there may be a new way of thinking about something in your life.  Or a new way of talking about something. How you frame the context of the conversation. It could involve an air sign person as well. But not always.

The card in the present energy is the Ten of Pentacles upright.  Financial security and stability. This is sometimes referred to as the “happy retirement” card. Because it reflects that state of finally reaching a place (with regard to your money) that you don’t have to worry any more.   And the freedom that comes with financial security as well.  Before you think, well, I’m not wealthy and I can’t retire until about 5 years after I die…maybe this card is suggesting that you start taking a closer look at your finances.  Or maybe, things aren’t as “bad” as you think they are.  Are you a billionaire? Maybe not. But do you have everything you really need. Which is a lot more than so many people.

The future card is Death reversed.  This card isn’t about dying – it’s about transformation. Very significant transformation. And this card reversed suggests that that isn’t happening. There’s a block or delay to transformation. This can be speaking to any area of your life, too. But since it’s a major arcana card, it’s likely talking about a pretty important area.  And it doesn’t mean change or transformation will never happen. It just means right now there’s some sort of block around this. So if there’s an area of your life that you’ve been hoping would transform…it may not happen as quickly or as soon as you’d like.

Astrologically speaking, we just had a New Moon in Aries on April 5.  Aries is the sign that starts the zodiac  (in western astrology) and it’s a fire sign. So anything Aries related means there’s a lot of energy involved.  An ideal time to start something new or plant seeds you’d like to see grow and develop into something new.  But the day you plant the seed is not the day you harvest the fruit. So give it some time.
